Rasberry Almond Shortbread Thumprints

 Ingredients
Cookies:
2/3 C. sugar
1 C. butter
1/2 t. almond extract
2 C. flour

1/2 C. raspberry jam

Glaze:
1C. powdered sugar
1 1/2 t. almond extract
2-3 t. water
 
 
 Instructions
Heat oven to 350. In large bowl, combine sugar, butter and almond extract. Beat til creamy. Add flour. Beat until well mixed. Chill 1 hour.

Shape into 1"balls, with thumb, make indentation in center of each cookie and fill with 1/4 t. jam.

Bake for 14-18 minutes or until edges are lightly browned. Cool, then drizzle with glaze.
